Volunteers Wanted at the MCSO!

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is looking for people who are interested in becoming a volunteer Posse
Member or a volunteer Boating Safety Officer. Both divisions have openings today and are looking for
citizens that take pride in their communities and want to make a difference by volunteering.
Posse members will receive training in crime prevention, introduction to law, driver awareness, traffic control
and radio communications. Posse members will provide assistance to deputies in non-law enforcement
duties and services allowing our deputies to focus on crime prevention and enforcement of local and state

Boating Safety Officers will attend training classes on boating safety, boating laws, boat operation and
navigation and waterways patrol. Boating Safety Officers patrol our waterways during weekends and special
events assisting our deputies in keeping our community safe in preventing water-related accidents and

There is a qualification process for citizens interested in joining the Sheriff’s office, we are looking for people
that have a positive attitude towards law enforcement, are at least 18 years of age, possess good moral
character, have a valid driver’s license and able to pass a background check with no felony convictions.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is looking for you to volunteer, learn more by stopping by any district office in
