Aggravated Assualt/ Escaped Custody- Beaver Dam

Mohave County Sheriff’s Deputies are attempting to locate Darren Bruce Boone, 34 of Littlefield, for Aggravated Assault on an Officer and Escaped Custody. On Friday (4/27) at approximately 9 AM, deputies made contact with Boone for an unrelated incident. While Boone was being restrained, a struggle ensued with the deputy. During the struggle, Boone was able to take possession of the deputy’s taser, but was not able to deploy it. The suspect began reaching for the deputy’s weapon, when a Good Samaritan attempted to assist the deputy and was assaulted and shoved away by the suspect. The Good Samaritan then fired a warning shot into the air from her own weapon, and Boone fled the scene on foot into a nearby wash. At this time, Mohave County Sheriff’s Deputies are actively searching for Boone in the area of Old Pioneer Rd. and Beaver Dam Dr. Darren Boone is described as 5’ 9”, 175 lbs, bald with brown eyes, and tattoos on both arms. Darren Boone is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
